Protect Yourself: Cybercrime and Identity Theft by Patricia O’Connor, Deputy Chief, Cyber Crime & Identity Theft Bureau, Manhattan DA’s Office. was a seminar presented at The 9th MoneyPOWER Conference for Financial Literacy brings together educators, leaders and experts in the field of personal finance education. The conference helps to further the shared mission to educate young people so that they can graduate high school with the knowledge and skills they need to be financially capable adults. More than 40,000 students in 27 states took the tests; 74.2% of students passed the Certification Test, earning our widely recognized CFL™ (Certified Financially Literate). ..The Conference featured workshops, educator led sessions, introductions to publications and resources at the Resources Fair, opportunities to consult with Certified Financial Planners and a chance to network with other participants. The keynote speaker was Karen Finerman, the well known Chair of CNBC’s Fast Money and Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Metropolitan Capital Advisors. The McGraw-Hill Companies hosted the conference on November 8, 2011 in New York.
